Happy New Year! To all my fellow bloggers!
I hope the New year is filled with many wonderful things!

For myself, I'm hoping to have a good year, filled with many changes and hopefully good things.

I'm hoping to put more into my blog, change some things and add some things. Looking forward to lots of excitement this year!

New year

Now that Christmas is over and done with its time to start thinking ahead to the New Year!
I had planned to go to my sisters house but the snow and the kids being sick postponed
that trip till I think Tuesday or Wednesday.
So my plan for the new year... I want to finally have a clean and nicely decorated home that I can have people over to without being embarrassed or that I have to run around cleaning like a mad woman before some one comes over.

I follow quite a few blogs on here that have wonderful advice on how to achieve this without losing ones mind. I'm not sure yet how to link them here but if you browse through my sidebar I'm sure you can find them.

I think what I'm going to do is start taking pictures (As soon as I get my camera back lol) of what I want or need to change and some of my plans on how I'm going to do it. I had all of the pictures of how the apartment looked when I moved in (horrible) but they are on a zip drive with the tech guy at work so I have to wait till I get that back before I begin posting before and afters. I'm thinking I'm going to start with the front entrance being that is pretty much where I left off before I ran out of money in the summer time when we went back to work and school!

Okay off to start cooking a late dinner and possibly to start cleaning the land fill that my kids call a bedroom! I will take before pictures and put them up at a later time!

The day after...

Its the day after Christmas.
I hope everyone had a good one! I went between the two, I had a good Christmas but felt a little blah because it was our (mine and the kids) first Christmas alone together since their dad left. I wanted to do so many things for them much grander than I did and felt really crappity crap that I didn't do many of the things that I had planned.

They had a great Christmas though (Thats what they keep saying) My girl told me that even if Santa only brought them each one gift as long as she has her family she would still have a great time. She is such a love. Could have also been a bribe for Santa to bring extra gifts but I'm going to err on the side of innocence.

So now its Sunday, both kids have developed fevers and scratchy throats, I have been looking for the telltale signs of Strep but neither has any white spots in their throats so its good. Hopefully its a virus and not an infection and it shall pass. If they aren't better by Monday or Tuesday I will call their doc and see what she recommends.

Right now Girl is playing in a warm bath and boy is laying on his bed waiting for her to finish so he can take a turn! Me I'm hoping it doesn't spread... to me. But I'm sure I will not escape unscathed! lol

So I'm off to enjoy another cup of coffee and see if I can scare up something sweet to go with it!

P.S. It has been snowing since this morning and doesn't look like its going to stop anytime soon, I sent the ex to the grocery store when he came to see the kids, and he got milk and Half & Half (you know the essentials lol) And I left my camera at my sisters house on Christmas eve and Can't find the cord to the old one so until I find it I have no pictures!

Sleep with one eye open

At least once a year (especially during Christmas) we like to put things on the cat... and we never learn.

grrr can't figure out how to turn the picture on here. I need my computer back!
