A brief Happy New Year, I am moving into the new year a different person. My life is on hiatus right now there are some changes that are going on that I will fill you in on in the coming weeks. Just keep me in your prayers (if you pray) or in your thoughts (if you don't) and hope for the best. Thank you my friends.

O' Christmas tree
Our Christmas tree is up!
I absolutely love having a real tree, we (Hubby and I) had a fake one only once year in our 15 yrs of being together.
While the fake one was pretty it could not top the real trees we've shared in all these years.
I'm nervous about this tree though, since the weekend we got it, it has been shedding like crazy!
I must sweep up 10,000 needles a day!
I really hope its not bald by the time Christmas gets here!
Every year we get a couple of new ornaments for the tree, there are no themes.
We buy whatever suits our fancy and whatever the feeling is that we are feeling at that moment.
I will share some pictures of our favorites in the coming days!

Christmas projects and boys turning 4!
We had a great weekend!
My dear sweet hubby brought the Christmas decorations
up from the garage for me!
We celebrated my nephew's birthday who just turned 4 this month!
And we taught the kids the age old custom
of turning marshmallows into snowmen!
It was a fun way to get ready for the holiday!

Getting ready...
Today I wanted to start decorating for Christmas.
I mean really decorating, getting a tree too!
We don't have a fake tree (never will!)
Not that theres anything wrong with having a fake tree, I just don't want one.
So anyway back to what I was saying, I really wanted to start decorating today but the sad fact is, is that I can no longer carry the decorations up from the garage. They have gotten too heavy for me to lift!
So I thought of the next best thing!
The kids were bored (you know the kind of bored where not even the video games kept them occupied!) I had pine cones and glue and glitter. Well put 2 and 3 together and I had a half an hour of non bored kids!
They made so many pretty pine cones I can't wait to hang them up!
We may even give some out for Christmas gifts!
Till Next time!

Why hello there!
I have been such a bad blog owner,
I wanted a blog,
I promised to feed and water and play with it
I hemmed and hawed over what to name it,
and when I got it I let it sit in the corner until it withered like my house plants
(that I really should water!)
So many things have happened during this month that I really do have lots to tell,
but it will have to wait because girl has a playdate
and I'm watching them playing at the park!

Halloween!
I love Halloween! It is my second favorite Holiday. (Christmas is first) If Halloween came with presents not candy it would definitely replace Christmas as my favorite. I started decorating this weekend and am about 75% done, the only problem is that with the cats what you think was decorated you can find undone the next morning! My mom asked me the other day if I'm actually using my craft desk (Doubting me are you mom?! lol) So I figured I would share one of the decorations I'm working on right now, I'm also making hair bows for Sky but I haven't taken any pictures of those yet. I found the image over at The Graphics Fairy, printed and enlarged it, and decorated it with glitter. I want to attach it to black ribbon to hang and then it will be done! I will post the finished project when its done.
We're also making glitter spider rings, which should be fun...or it could make me want to pull out my eyelashes with a toothpick. Right now there is glitter all over the floor! I can't wait to get out the vacuum and clean it all up!

Snickerdoodles and failed experiments...
So yesterdays "social" experiment failed miserably. By 11:30 I was so tired I couldn't keep my eyes open and the kids were still going strong, they just "weren't tired". As they told me, so in the end I pulled rank and told them I wasn't going to bed until they were. For 2 children that "weren't tired" they were both asleep in 10 minutes flat! Maybe I'll try the experiment at another time when I feel more comfortable leaving them up after I go to sleep.
On a better note, a good friend of mine gave me a cookie mix to sample for our next school fundraiser. I had them for a week pushing them off to the side thinking I didn't have enough time (or energy) to make them. Well today I took the mix off the shelf and decided to give it a try. They were so easy to make! I shoulda made them days ago!
It was easy enough to make with both of the kids. I started the dough and then Sky rolled them in the cinnamon mix. These would definately make for an excellent fundraiser!
Oh P.S. I started my craft corner, its cming along really great. Here have a peak,
